Misting System

Designing misting systems depends on several key factors, mainly, the ambient temperature, wind direction, airflow rate, relative humidity, existing structures, and other environmental conditions on site. All these factors should be taken into consideration, when analyzing various misting applications.

Misting principle

By forcing water, by means of a high-pressure pump, through our specially designed and patented misting nozzles, we create a fog made by ultra-fine water droplets with an average size of less than 10 microns.

These tiny water droplets quickly absorb the energy (heat) present in the environment and evaporate, becoming water vapor (gas). The energy used to change the water to gas is eliminated from the environment, hence the air is cooled.

Misting Components

In addition to cooling, misting systems are also widely used for humidification of materials and processes, dust suppression and odor control. Depending on the application, a misting strategy includes specific active components, such as, high pressure mist pump, nozzles, Arch, Totems, axial and radial fans, and mist pipes and fittings.
