Wadi Shakwa is situated in the Hajar Mountains and is considered an agricultural area due to various farms being situated in the region. The area is also home to various abandoned settlements that are now protected heritage sites. The Wadi is adjacent to one of the most iconic dams in the UAE, the Shawka Dam, which overlooks a fully developed recreational area, the Wadi Shawka Park, comprising a scenic landscape and children’s play area. EMergyKool supplied, installed and is currently maintaining the misting systems for playground cooling at the park and seating area cooling at the museum, adjacent to the Shawka Dam.
